Morrison&#8217;s <i>All-Star Superman<\/i> would have gotten my vote, but he kind of diluted it with the Batman run, which started off well, but&#8230;..meh! What the heck, <i>Nextwave<\/i> sealed it for Ellis.<\/p>\n<p>2: Award for Favourite Comics Writer\/Artist<br \/>\nALAN DAVIS (Fantastic Four: The End)<br \/>\nBEN TEMPLESMITH (Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse; IDW)<br \/>\n<b>DARWYN COOKE (The Spirit, Solo)<\/b> Darwyn Cooke&#8217;s work on <i>Solo<\/i> is unparallelled, the pinups themselves were worth their weight in gold. Somebody get me <i>The Spirit<\/i> to read. Templesmith would have come in second, in my opinion. Alan Davis&#8217;s <i>FF: The End<\/i> is too crowded with characters, much like <i>JLA: Another Nail<\/i>, while Mignola&#8217;s work, though mighty, is not voluminous enough to warrant an award. Cassaday may be good, but Quitely just blows it off the water with <i>All Star Superman<\/i>.<br \/>\nJOHN CASSADAY (Astonishing X-Men, Planetary)<\/p>\n<p>4: Award for Favourite Comics Artist: Inks<br \/>\nANDE PARKS (Nightwing, Civil War: Choosing Sides, The Irredeemable Ant-Man)<br \/>\nDANNY MIKI (Moon Knight, Eternals)<br \/>\nJIMMY PALMIOTTI (52; Daughters of the Dragon; Secret Six)<br \/>\nMARK FARMER (Fantastic Four: The End)<br \/>\n<b>PAUL NEARY (The Ultimates 2)<\/b>  Tough choice, because I haven&#8217;t read most of the others.
