  1. Now what on earth is a crossed cheque?
A cheque where you have made two diagonal lines in the upper left corner, and have written between those lines “a/c payee”. This ensures that the cheque must be deposited in an account and cannot be encashed directly.

    • Hey, forgot to tell u. I bought this 3-book hardcover collection of the first three Ripley books for 130 rupees. Everyman’s library.

will u accept eBooks instead? :-“

        • WEll, i heard somewhere that the ending of Origin and the characters are somewhat vague, so that Marvel can come up with a sequel to convolute things further…things like – does Dog become Sabertooth? Where does Silver Fox fit into the picture? How does Logan join the Weapon X programme?

          • Since these books come to India slightly late, I thought of looking up for the sequel on other sites. Couldn’t find any leads though. Silver Fox and Wolvie met during a Canadian secret service stint, where they became part of the covert Team-X, along with Sabretooth and Maverick. For years Fox was thought to have been killed by Sabretooth, but this was an illusion created by Weapon X.

Actually a lot of question were left unanswered in the book, for example how did Wolverine’s mother have those marks on her – from Wolvie, from her husband, or from Logan? Did Dog and Wolverine have the same Dad? Is Dog of the same breed as Wolverine, or could he die?

I am rooting for a sequel, if it comes out, I’ll be the first to buy it. Till then I wait for the next Spider-Man Manga. The first one rocked so hard, I could eat it.

            • Exactly! There were some theories that said Wolverine’s elder brother, the guy who was supposed to be dead at the beginning of the story, was the one who made those marks on his mother. Can he be sabertooth? Yeah, the question of who introduced the Mutant gene – was it the Hewlett family ( some people claim that in a particular panel, Grandpa Hewlett has tiny claws popping out from his hand ) or was it Logan, who might have been Mrs Hewlett’s secret lover? If we hypothesise that it was Logan(based on the fact that Wolvie resembles Logan), how does that explain his lack of the healing fattor?

All in all, Origin brought up a lot of questions, man. I hope there is a sequel.

I didn’t like the Spidey manga too much. By the way, Gotham came out with the next part of the manga storyline in a “Marvel Comics Presents” super-special. It had the avengers on the cover.

How do u like Ultimate Spiderman?

            • Ultimate Spider-Man. Now thats a comic book. Well drawn, doesn’t have anything to do with the movie(which was cool), and very very expressive.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll look up the Avengers one this weekend. Maybe I’ll get lucky and get Daredevil:Yellow too.
