Dear anonymous comicbooklover who reserved Scott McCloud’s Reinventing Comics at Bookworm and did not pick it up for a week,
I picked up the book yesterday, after waiting six days and thirteen hours. Be a little careful next time, you cannot afford to be so complacent in this dog-eat-zombie world of comics, you know.
Regards,
Beatzo.
P.S Thanks for giving me the added incentive to buy the Complete Calvin And Hobbes. That was the last copy Bookworm had, so…
P.P.S Yes, that Dark Horse TPB of Godzilla was the impulse buy of the day, and it was completely painless.
Sinner.
I *know*! Nobody should be allowed to reserve books that way and ignore them for a whole week. Humph!
:D
Nice demonstration of skills, this.
Lady luck loves you, I maintain. And, Complete C&H!! I hope you realize you are begrudged by many. :p
Got complete C&H at a phat 25% discount, which made my
hourdaymonth.Bitch! You spend 8k on comics and ask me to buy tickets worth 100/- pretending to be a pauper!!!
Oh, wait a minute! Ok. You are. I will buy the tickets.
Gloater! I think carrying the complete cnh home should have sprained or even popped a new muscle or two. Not to mention the special book rest one needs to read it comfortably.
Ah, no. I managed to con an unwilling colleague into giving me a ride home on his bike.
Tried reading Vol 1 lying down. nearly crushed my spine trying to position it comfortably on tummy.
I never said I was a pauper. I just said I am lazy.
Yes, liar!

Because there is only one Completist Bastard around who has bought the complete C&H.
Emphasis on bought.
Bookworm?
Nice second-hand, discount-happy bookstore off MG Road.

Ah! and so the tribe grows…doesn’t nobody not read comics no longer? with such slim pickings that is the comics market, i’m not sure if comic book evangelism is such a good idea. boohoo. ask one who just got fugged…two days in a row…two places and just because some anonymous comic lover(s) happened to be there before me. and you with the money! leave blossom and bookworm alone for us poor typists. don’t look beyond crossword and landmark.
Re: comic relief wanted
