Buy one of James Jean’s covers to Fables.
No, seriously. Everyone seems to be a Fables fan nowadays, and I have personally seen his artwork prices going from 1000$-odd on eBay to inhuman prices – currently, he’s put up the wrap-around cover for Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall up for sale and it’s up to 6766$, with 6 days to go. I am betting this will go up to 10k. If any of you has 10000$ to spare, go and buy this. Gilt-edged investment, I tell you.

Sadly, even that’s out of print, with first editions going for 150$ and above. Goddamn. Original retail price $75.

I just saw Steamboy. While I liked the retro-futuristic look and the awesome visuals, particularly the London setting, I wasn’t satisfied with the movie as a whole. It lacked something. :-(
Anyway, I have Lain in my Netflix queue.
Recommend me some good anime, either TV series or movies.
(I see a lot of TV serieses on IFC (Independent Film Channel) and a few others. But, I haven’t heard about them so far.)
Series you can try out: Trigun. Samurai Champloo. Full Metal Alchemist. The first two are quite short ( 24-25 episodes) while the second one is like Rurouni Kenshin, quite long with movies thrown into the mix.
I did not like Steamboy at all. I was thoroughly let down by the stereotyping in the story. I have not seen Serial Experiment Lain, heard it’s quite good though. :-)
